ALBUM

The work Album is an artist book , with a set of 8 Etchings ,bonded together  in an album .

The work attempts to recall memories of people , spaces , experiences and conversations .

Flipping through the pages ,is an experience of re-living  those moments . 

As in the lines of  'Sheshlekha' by Rabindranath Tagore .

'If i can once again 

I shall find that chair 

in whose embrace remains

 A collaborative work with Sindhura D.M .

The paper works had the basic idea to capture the moment of experience , the experience as we watched the rain gushing down through the window ,or  the door or any other source from an interior space . They are a set of 15 paper works using  ink , thread and the typewriter .The type writer lines signify  the rhythm of the rain drops ,  woven through with tread images of interior spaces and objects juxtaposing together the experience of watching something thats temporary yet making music from its flow .

 It is  a collage of various artist cards ive collected in the past two years and the ones that inspire me the most. An  attempt to see how artworks created by different artist in different times at distant places ,when captured in a same size format , relate to each other in a common space.
